Harakat, through the USAID-funded Trade for Peace (T4P) project, supports the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA) in the area of trade policy to identify and eliminate constraints to Afghan exports and design and implement a coherent trade agenda based on rigorous evidence-based policy analysis and improve Afghanistan’s trade and transit terms within the region.
Harakat provides technical assistance to the Ministry of Industries and Commerce (MoIC) and other stakeholders to support the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Coordination Authority (APTTCA) meetings.

Deploying a team of technical experts to provide expert opinion in the revision process of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Trade and Transit Agreement (APTTA), and to conduct research and analysis on different aspects of the Agreement.
Organizing regional Public Private Dialogues (PPDs) to promote regional connectivity and boost trade.
